Dr. Mohamed bin Ibrahim Al-Saud received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science and engineering from the College of Agriculture at King Saud University in 1987, specializing in agricultural engineering, Biological systems engineering and irrigation water. He then received a master's degree in irrigation engineering and water management from the University of Colorado, USA in 1994, and then received his PhD from the same university in 1999 in Engineering Irrigation and water management.
Dr. Mohammed worked as a teaching assistant at the College of Agriculture at King Saud University, in the Department of Agricultural Engineering from 1988 to 2000, and was appointed as a professor of water and irrigation systems at the same university.
He was appointed as an Acting Deputy Minister of Planning and Development at the Ministry of Water and Electricity from August 2008 till June 2010.
In addition, he was appointed as an Acting Deputy Minister of Water and Electricity for Water Affairs from April 2009 to April 2010. He occupied the position of a Deputy Minister for Water Affairs as well as an Acting Deputy Minister for Planning and Development from April 2010. He then was appointed as a Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, then he was appointed as Advisor to the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture to date.
