Eng. Ahmad Albalaa

​​​Engineer Ahmed bin Rashid Al-Balaa obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences with honors from King Saud University in 1982 and a Master’s in Business Administration from King Abdulaziz University in 2010, and worked as Director General of the Rashid Al-Ballaa Foundation for Agricultural Projects from 1982-1992, and Director General of the Saudi Fish Breeding Company from 1992-1994, and General Manager of the International Aquaculture Company from 1994 to 1995.

Currently, he is the CEO and Managing Director of the National Aquaculture Group since 1997.

He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Aquaculture Society (SAS), a member of the Board of Directors of the National Technology Group, a member of the International Aquaculture Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Program for the Development of the Fisheries Sector, a founding member of the Saudi Exporters Association (under establishment), and a member of the local council of Al-Laith Governorate. .

He also has several memberships in the previous boards of a number of companies, a member of the Fisheries Committee in the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the steering team for the seventh initiative to develop the fisheries sector in the Agricultural Development Fund.​
